About the Arduino Software
Arduino is an open-source electronics platform based on easy-to-use hardware and software. An Arduino board reads many different types of inputs and turns them into an output that activates something, such as turning on a LED or turning a motor. The board can be programmed to do many different things by using the Arduino software and programming language. Arduino was first designed for students as an easy tool for making prototypes faster; however, the software was and continues to develop as its audience gets bigger and its uses diversifies.

What I learned
This is one of the tasks in class that I learned the most from this semester. The reason I learned more then any other project is because I had some background or knew a little bit of information about the other projects, but I knew nothing about Arduino before this project. Not only did I not know anything about Arduino, I knew nothing about any kind of coding and had never done it before. This project taught me about what code is and how the Arduino coding works. It is a lot more straightforward and easy to catch onto then I was expecting, but I don't think I could do it on my own without the book just yet. I also learned about resistors, LEDs, circuits, wiring, and about how exact your code needs to be. One little error and the computer will do something different then you want. Even after this project, and how much information I learned about coding, I still only know the bare minimum of the basics. I'm more interested in coding then I was before and I would like to learn more about it in the future.
